June

Meet June, a super sweet pit mix who's ready to steal your heart! June has settled in wonderfully with our staff and is a joy to be around. He's a clever boy who knows how to entertain himself, especially when there's an empty food bowl involved – he might just give it a good smack! June was transferred to us from a rescuer in the Houston area who was looking for a more suitable environment for him. While he was a bit anxious during his car ride, he quickly adjusted and has been doing well with our other dogs here.

Ideal Home

June absolutely adores children, including the little ones! However, due to his size, he can sometimes accidentally knock them over, so a family with slightly older children might be a better fit to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. He walks beautifully on a leash and is unfazed by vehicles or new people, making him a great companion for strolls.

Ongoing Health

June is a healthy boy who has been neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

June is completely house-trained and a pleasure to have indoors. While he's generally even-tempered, he does have a couple of triggers to be aware of: being muzzled and vet visits. We have limited experience with him in the car, so patience and positive reinforcement will be key in this area.
