Hi there, I'm Jace! I'm a charming 55-pound bulldog mix with a handsome white and brown coat. My favorite pastime is being your shadow and getting all the best snuggles, belly rubs, and head scratches. I'm a smart cookie and I'm already working on "sit," "down," and "leave it." I'm a very motivated learner, especially when treats are involved, so I'm sure I could master even more commands!
My toy collection includes Kongs stuffed with yummy goodness, chewy bones, and my favorite stuffed animals. I enjoy a good game of fetch (though sometimes I get a little too attached to the ball!) and a lively tug-of-war. I'm eager to be your best friend and will happily follow you around the house, just wanting to be near you. I'm a bit of a goober and sometimes forget my size, often trying to squeeze onto laps just for extra closeness!
I'm already potty and crate trained, and I walk like a dream on the leash. I'm looking for a home where I can truly shine.
I'm not a fan of dogs, which seems to stem from fear rather than true aggression. My past involved being chained in a yard and suffering from starvation, which has unfortunately led to some food guarding. I do enjoy the company of cats, but they need to steer clear when I'm enjoying my meals. Due to an old injury, one side of my face will never fully fill in, but this doesn't impact my ability to be a loving and cuddly companion. I've been neutered and vaccinated, and I've successfully completed heartworm treatment.
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a patient and understanding home that can help me build confidence around my food. I would do best in a home without other dogs, but I can live with cats as long as they respect my mealtime boundaries.
Ongoing Health
I have a facial asymmetry due to an old injury, but it does not affect my overall health or happiness. I have completed heartworm treatment.
Training & Support
I'm working on my food guarding and would benefit from a home that can continue positive reinforcement training to help me feel secure.
