Addie

Addie is an almost 4-year-old purebred yellow Labrador who is looking for her forever home. She was surrendered by her owner who was moving and could no longer keep her. Her former owner loved her dearly and wanted the best for her, which led her to us. Addie lived with her family, including 5 and 9-year-old children, and did wonderfully with them. She is affectionate, friendly, and playful, though she can be a bit shy with new people. Addie enjoys a good game of tug and fetch, and she's a treat to train as she's very motivated and takes rewards gently.

Ideal Home

Addie would do best in a home where her new family understands her initial shyness with strangers and can offer patience as she warms up. Once she's comfortable, she's a happy girl who loves attention and belly rubs!

Ongoing Health

Addie is up-to-date on vaccinations, has had a heartworm test, and is on preventatives. She will be adopted out with a sterilization contract.

Training & Support

While Addie generally does well with children and has lived with a cat, she hasn't had much experience with other dogs. She can walk past other dogs on leash without issue. Her new family should be prepared to help her continue to build confidence around new people and potentially other dogs.
