Tonka

Tonka is an approximately 80-pound Australian Shepherd mix with a whole lot of love to give, though he has a special set of needs for his future home. He is a wonderful dog, but he does experience fear aggression towards strangers and requires a very specific environment to truly thrive.

Ideal Home

Tonka needs a single-person household with no visitors, children, or other animals. He would do best in a home where his person has experience with positive reinforcement, fear-free training methods.

Ongoing Health

Tonka is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Due to his fear aggression, Tonka requires a patient and understanding owner experienced with fear-free training. He is not available for same-day adoption and will need several continuous meetings to ensure a good fit.
