Meet Benson, a sweet and quiet gentleman!

Benson had a rough start, being hit by a car in Texas and left to fend for himself. Thankfully, he found his way to safety and underwent a leg amputation. Through it all, Benson has learned that humans can be wonderful, offering treats and a comfortable place to rest. He's a great companion, getting along well with other dogs and showing complete indifference to cats. Benson is also potty trained, a dream in the car, and a perfect gentleman during vet visits. True to his Great Pyrenees heritage, Benson is more of an observer than a clingy companion. He's happiest by your side, keeping an eye on things and enjoying your presence without needing constant attention.

Ideal Home

Benson would thrive in a calm, low-traffic home. We recommend a home with children over 12 who understand and respect a dog's boundaries, as loud or boisterous children might be overwhelming for him. A home with minimal stairs would be ideal to ensure his long-term comfort.

Ongoing Health

Benson is a tripod, having undergone a leg amputation. He navigates life with ease, but a home with fewer stairs will help keep him comfortable.

Training & Support

Benson is a well-behaved boy who is potty trained and wonderful during handling. He's a lower-energy dog who enjoys a slower pace of life and is looking for peace and a soft place to sleep.
