Tom

Tom is such a handsome fellow, and super nice too! This sweet boy is about 4 years old and could stand to lose a few pounds. It’s so cute to see him running around with the other dogs in his foster home. He is learning that attention is a very good thing and is coming out of his shell with kindness and love. Tom is a good-hearted guy but he is very shy when you first meet him and takes time to warm up. He prefers to sit and hang out rather than crawl onto your lap. The poor little guy has some trust issues, but we are confident that with human kindness, he will continue to blossom. Tom gets along great with his foster family's dogs and will do fine with cats.

Ideal Home

Tom would be a great addition to a family or individual looking for a wallflower to join their home. He would do okay without another dog as long as someone is around during the day, but he finds more courage with a canine companion and would prefer a dog buddy. Tom would not be happy being alone all day if his people worked a full workday.

Ongoing Health

Tom could stand to lose a few pounds.

Training & Support

Tom does need some help with basic commands and going on a diet. He is a smart guy and could pick up the basics more if someone will work with him.
