Carmella

Carmella is a beautiful, sensitive 2.5-year-old female Border Collie, weighing around 45 lbs. She has a strong need for mental stimulation and would thrive in a home where she has a job to do, possibly even learning to herd! Carmella is intelligent and currently enrolled in an official herding dog training program. While she may be shy and fearful when meeting new people, with patience, structure, and love, she begins to open up. She's not the type to greet you with tail wags immediately, but with time and understanding, she'll become a truly loyal companion.

Ideal Home

Carmella needs an experienced and compassionate adopter committed to continuing her training and providing slow, gentle introductions to new people and situations. She would do best in a kid-free home, and while she can learn to live with other dogs with slow introductions, she cannot live with cats.
