Meet Zara – A Sweet Soul Looking for Her Forever Family

Zara is a beautiful 2- to 3-year-old female hound with the gentlest heart. She weighs around 45 lbs. When Zara came into our rescue after her owner passed away, she was underweight. It was clear she had gone without the care and nourishment every dog deserves. Today, thanks to good food, love, and a safe place to call home, Zara has blossomed into a healthy, happy girl—and she never forgets to be grateful for every meal and every kindness she receives. Zara is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves people, although she may be a little shy when meeting someone new. Give her just a little time, and she’ll reward you with unwavering love and loyalty. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, making her a great addition to a family with other pets. She’s a calm, gentle companion who enjoys lounging on the couch, curling up in a cozy chair, and simply being close to her people. Zara has come so far, and now all she needs is a family to show her that she’ll never have to wonder where her next meal or loving hug will come from again.
