Meet Chanel, a resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who has truly blossomed. She was abandoned in a crowded shelter and was even on a euthanasia list, but we brought her to Texas to give her a second chance. Now, she's an energetic and happy dog who even donates blood to save other lives! While her transformation is incredible, she's still learning to trust and is looking for a patient family to help her feel safe and loved. Chanel enjoys playing with soft squeaky toys but can be easily startled by loud noises. She's also a bit flinchy when hands reach towards her, so a gentle and understanding environment is key for her to build her confidence.
Ideal Home
Chanel would thrive in a home with a patient and understanding family who can help her rebuild her faith in humanity. She's also looking for a canine companion to help her learn to trust again.
Ongoing Health
Chanel is a healthy dog who has undergone all necessary vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, spay/neuter, flea and heartworm prevention, and micro-chipping.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working through past trauma and can be flinchy when hands reach towards her. She needs continued gentle training and a safe space to learn at her own pace.

Transporation
Chanel is located in Texas. We offer transportation to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN, OH, and LA. AZ transport is coming soon. Transport is available to predetermined locations and times, with an option for private custom transport routes and destinations upon request (additional fees apply). For Texas adopters, a flat rate of $250 applies for in-state transport. Animals are transported in air-conditioned buses or vans with onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. You can follow your pet's journey via a private Facebook Event page. For those picking up at our Angleton, Texas location, there is a $75 fee which includes all vetting.
