Meet Brody! This handsome 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix is a wonderful blend of playful energy and laid-back charm. Brody is currently enjoying life in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is eagerly awaiting his forever family. He's the perfect companion for someone who loves both outdoor adventures and cozy nights in. Brody is a true goofball who loves to make his people smile, whether he's chasing a toy or snuggling up with his signature tongue-out grin. He's even happy to dress up for holidays and themed events, as long as he's with his favorite humans!
Ideal Home
Brody enjoys the company of friendly, laid-back female dogs and would appreciate a calm canine playmate. Given his size and enthusiasm, he might be a bit much for smaller or more timid dogs. He'd also be content as your one-and-only pup, provided he has a secure backyard for zoomies and off-leash fun. He does best with older, dog-savvy children (ages 8-10+) who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. Brody is not a fan of cats.

Training & Support
Brody is a smart, food-motivated boy who's eager to please! His foster mom has done a fantastic job with his obedience training. While he can get a bit excited around assertive male dogs, he's adaptable with calm guidance and continued positive experiences. He's a gentleman on the leash, house-trained, and crate-trained. He loves his plush toys and will happily "customize" them with enthusiastic chomps! A home that offers structure, consistency, and encouragement will help him thrive. Experience with intelligent working breeds like Cattle Dogs or Pitbulls would be a plus. He'd enjoy daily walks, light adventures, and mentally stimulating activities like scent work, agility, or obedience classes.
