Meet Yeager — a Doberman with zero buffering and unlimited energy! He's tall, athletic, funny, and undeniably handsome. Yeager is a complex dog who is also blissfully happy, possessing a joy that seems to come from a place of pure, unadulterated fun. He's extremely happy, confident, and always ready for an adventure. While he can be a handful, he has done well with cats and older children, and is selectively dog-social, doing best with female dogs and smaller to medium-sized males.
Ideal Home
Yeager needs an experienced, active, and consistent human (or humans!) who are prepared for a full-time project dog and will not give up when he inevitably tests every boundary. Prior Doberman or working-breed experience is strongly preferred. This is not the dog for someone seeking a chill, easy companion.
Ongoing Health
Yeager is a deep-chested breed, so awareness of potential bloat is required.
Training & Support
Yeager is not untrainable, but he is not intuitive and requires someone experienced and structured. He is not potty trained reliably and will mark indoors. He doesn't understand or respect human correction, learns patterns quickly to use against you, and will outmaneuver routines, especially around food. He rarely settles, especially around other animals, and destroys beds, feeders, and anything not built for chaos. He eats fast and immediately wants to sprint and jump. He takes correction from other dogs but forgets it quickly. This dog requires ongoing, committed training and is not a "figure it out as you go" situation.
