Chewbacca (Chewy)

Chewbacca, or Chewy as he's affectionately known, is a delightful and expressive young boy who earned his name with his uncanny impression of the famous Wookiee! He's a rescue favorite for a reason – he's been such a wonderful guest and has shown remarkable growth during his time with us. Chewy is a true love bug who thrives on attention and responds with immense gratitude. He walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys his strolls, and would love a yard to explore and play in. He aims to please and will sit on command, and he's also house-trained. Chewy is a gentle, larger dog who would do wonderfully with children. Initially curious about the rescue chickens, he was easily redirected and now leaves their area alone, demonstrating his quick responsiveness to training. He also gets giddy when brushed, making for a fun and heartwarming experience! Chewy is also available for fostering or foster-to-adopt.

Ideal Home

A home with a yard for him to run and play in would be ideal for Chewy.

Chewy has been neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Chewy is house-trained and sits on command. He is eager to please and responds quickly to new training, as evidenced by his excellent redirection away from the chickens. He enjoys being brushed.
