Gina is a spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, about 1 year old and weighing 56lbs. She was found as a tiny puppy abandoned in a cardboard box near a busy road, but thanks to her foster family, she's now ready to find her forever home! Gina is a playful and affectionate pup who enjoys the company of her canine friends. She loves a good game of tug-of-war and is very good at entertaining herself with her toys, even collecting them to keep in her bed. She's also mastered fetch! Gina is house and crate trained, can be crated for up to 8 hours, walks well on a leash, and doesn't show signs of separation anxiety.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) as she can be jumpy when excited and is unaware of her size. She would also thrive with a couple or a single adopter. A home with another dog is recommended to keep her company and help her burn off energy, but she can be apprehensive of unfamiliar, larger dogs due to past negative experiences, so slow introductions are a must. She lives happily with small dogs under 15 lbs and large dogs over 75 lbs in her foster home. Gina should be in a cat-free home, as she gets a bit too excited by neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
Gina is in the "puppy velociraptor" stage and will need guidance on appropriate chew toys. She prefers to eat her treats alone. Future adopters should be prepared to provide regular socialization, positive training, and plenty of outlets for exercise, play, and enrichment to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.
