Jane

Meet Jane, a two-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love to give! Jane came to us from the Bakersfield shelter with her puppies, and her devotion to them inspired her name. She embodies the qualities of her namesake: watchful, dignified, and quietly strong.

While we don't know much about Jane's past, her present is filled with gentleness and affection. She adores giving hugs and kisses and is a wonderful companion. Jane gets along well with other dogs and would be a great fit for a family with older children. She can be a bit timid around younger children, so a home without them would be ideal. We haven't tested her with cats, but she shows no signs of reactivity or prey drive. Jane is a quiet girl, rarely barking, and she settles beautifully in her crate, making her a low-stress addition to any household. Even when she feels uncertain, Jane's instinct is to trust, making her a truly special dog.

Ideal Home

Jane is looking for a patient person or family who will help her continue to come out of her shell. She thrives with steady love and companionship and is seeking a forever home where she can be your devoted sidekick. A home without young children would be best for her.

Jane is a healthy girl with no known health concerns at this time.

Training & Support

Jane is still learning to trust fully and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and patience as she settles into her new home. Her crate-training is excellent, and she is a quiet presence.
