Willy

Meet Willy, a sweetheart who has been patiently waiting for his forever family for far too long. Willy arrived at our shelter in March 2022, likely after being hit by a car. He had a broken tail, fractured teeth, and several wounds, but even through it all, he greeted everyone with his gentle nature. This handsome Lab mix has made a remarkable recovery, though he lives with lifelong urinary and bowel incontinence due to his past injuries. He doesn't let it bother him and continues to seek out love and affection. Willy adores toys, playing fetch, and is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of people and other dogs. He has never been kenneled at the shelter and truly thrives in a social environment. Willy has an enormous heart and a spirit that shines brightly. He just needs someone who can look past his challenges and see the incredible dog he is. Could he have been waiting for you all along?

• Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

Transporation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We adopt dogs to the US and Canada. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border. This remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
