Rufus has the kindest eyes and a scruffy little face that melts your heart! This 2-year-old, 15 lb Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix is a true companion, looking for a family to love him forever. He's currently a bit underweight and expected to reach a healthy 18-20 lbs. Rufus was abandoned at an apartment complex but has overcome his past with a sweet, trusting, and loving nature. He's a "Velcro dog" who loves being with his people, whether cuddling on the couch or following you from room to room. He's gentle, happy-go-lucky, and forms deep bonds.

Ongoing Health
Rufus is neutered and has been brought to a healthy weight. As a Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix, he will require regular grooming to maintain his coat.
Training & Support
Rufus is crate trained and settles quietly. He is still working on house training, but improvement is expected with a consistent routine. He sometimes exhibits gentle play nibbles, common in young dogs.

Transportation
Rufus is currently being fostered in Austin, Texas. Transport can be arranged by Wags once matched with an approved adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation and runs every few weeks.
