Rio is a beautiful and intelligent young Shepherd mix, estimated to be born around May 1, 2025. She currently weighs about 30 pounds and is expected to be a medium-sized dog when fully grown. Rescued from an abandoned home, Rio is a resilient, friendly, and gentle soul eager to find her forever family. She's a quick learner, already crate trained and doing wonderfully with house training, even working on a bell to signal when she needs to go outside! Rio gets along well with other dogs and has been gentle and friendly with children. While initially a bit reserved, she blossoms into an affectionate and loyal companion. Her fosters describe her as super smart and eager to please, ready for a family excited to continue her learning and growth.

Rio would thrive with an active person or family looking for a bright and loving companion to share life's adventures. Homes with children aged 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit.
