Meet Pepe Le Pew, a 9-week-old (estimated DOB March 2026) male Chihuahua/Terrier mix who currently weighs about 3 pounds and is still growing! Pepe and his littermates were found abandoned on the streets of Houston, but thankfully, they've been rescued and are now ready to find loving homes. Pepe is a charming little masked bandit, always curious and ready to sneak away with a chew stick. He's on the smaller side, full of love, and prefers cozy snuggles to causing trouble. Pepe is a gentle soul who adores naps and puppy kisses, making him impossible not to fall in love with.
Ideal Home
Pepe is a brave and social pup who would likely do well with children, cats, and other dogs, provided introductions are done appropriately. However, due to his tiny size, any resident pets should be gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions must be supervised. Pepe needs a family prepared for the mysteries of a mixed breed, as his exact lineage and adult size are unknown. He also needs a home where someone is present most of the time, as he cannot be left alone for extended periods. If you work outside the home for more than 4 hours, a second adult must be available to care for him during the day.
Ongoing Health
As a young puppy, Pepe is still developing and his full breed mix and adult size are unknown. Adopters should be prepared for potential surprises as he grows.
Training & Support
Pepe is still learning potty and crate training, and his new family should be committed to consistent training, frequent potty breaks, positive reinforcement, and lots of patience. Puppies thrive with structure, routine, and supervision, which Pepe will need to become a confident, well-mannered adult.
