Luke, I'm all ears

Luke is a handsome 15-month-old mixed breed with a shiny jet black coat, a white chest, and ears that are out of this world, reminiscent of "Spock." He's a part Labrador Retriever, part American Pitbull Terrier, and part German Shepherd mix. Luke and his sister, Leia, were found as strays, and after being rescued and receiving much-needed medical care, they are now thriving individually and are well-adjusted to separation. Luke is a sweetheart who loves pets, belly rubs, and lounging in the sun. He enjoys his walks and has a very sweet disposition. He's also incredibly smart and learns quickly.

Ideal Home

Luke would love a home with a yard to play in, a comfy spot to relax, and a canine companion to share his life with.

Ongoing Health

Luke is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Luke is potty-trained and crate-trained for naps and nighttime. He's learning to use bells on the door to signal when he needs to go out. As he's still a young dog, he enjoys digging, chewing, and playing. He responds well to a "dog whistle" if play gets too rough. Man's Best Friend partners with us for training and boarding and can provide additional information on Luke’s personality.

Luke is currently being fostered in Houston, TX. Transport is available out of state, preferably to northern states.
