Vanna

Meet Vanna, an approximately 4-year-old spayed and vaccinated German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality. She's a playful and affectionate girl who truly is a "velcro dog," loving to be close to her people. Once Vanna bonds with you, she'll be happiest by your side, whether you're relaxing at home or out on an adventure. She has medium energy and enjoys games of fetch and going for walks, and she's a great car companion. Vanna is trusted to free roam in the house and is not destructive; she just wants to be near her favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Vanna would thrive in an active home where she can be a close companion. She is best suited as the only dog in the home, though she can be playful with very well-matched larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) if there are no resources to guard. She can be reactive on leash, so continued training will be important. Vanna is not a fan of smaller dogs. She is reserved with strangers but warms up to be friendly. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space.

Ongoing Health

Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. She has experienced significant trauma and is actively working on negative behaviors around other dogs. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people.

Training & Support

Vanna needs continued support with leash manners and is still polishing up her potty training, with occasional accidents. She is crate trained. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has so much potential to continue growing.
