Rico

Rico is an almost 2-year-old, 62 lb male Hound/Rottie mix. He was found abandoned by his previous family when they moved but thankfully, the neighborhood and his foster family stepped in to care for him. Rico quickly bonded with the other large dogs in his foster home and loves to play with them. While he's sweet and cuddly with his foster family, he can be a bit shy around new people, needing a little time to warm up. He's already potty and kennel trained and walks nicely on a leash. Rico enjoys playing with toys but isn't destructive, and he's a well-behaved indoor companion. He's a bit of a couch potato inside but loves to romp and chase balls and bubbles outdoors with his dog friends. Rico has a bum rear leg that sometimes causes him to limp or sit unusually, but it doesn't seem to cause him pain and doesn't hinder his enjoyment of life. He dreams of a home with a fenced yard where he can explore and a loving family to shower with devotion.

Ideal Home

Rico would love a home with a fenced yard so he can safely explore and lounge outdoors.

Ongoing Health

Rico has a bum rear leg that causes him to sometimes limp or sit in a peculiar way. This does not seem to cause him pain.

Training & Support

Rico is potty and kennel trained and walks well on a leash. He is well-behaved indoors and enjoys playing with toys without being destructive. He may take a little time to warm up to new people due to his past experiences.
