About Trooper

Trooper is a handsome 2.5-year-old, 60-pound dog who's looking for a quiet, loving home. He's the type of companion who will happily follow you from room to room, nap nearby, and simply make your day brighter with his presence. Trooper is incredibly smart, fully house-trained, and kennel-trained. He doesn't shed, and he already knows commands like "stay," "come," "lay down," and "quiet." He walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and is happiest when he's with his favorite person. Trooper has a gentle and tender heart, responding best to kindness, encouragement, and consistency. He's not a loud or demanding dog; he just wants to feel safe and be part of his family. He enjoys cozy naps, watching the world from a patio, peaceful car rides, gentle playtime, and being wherever you are. Like many devoted dogs, Trooper experiences some separation anxiety and will do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long hours. In return, you'll gain a best friend whose love and devotion are immeasurable. He has done well with other dogs and ignores barking dogs on walks. His protective instincts are easily redirected because he listens exceptionally well. Trooper is looking for a family who will see the incredibly loyal and loving dog within and give him their whole heart.
