Maya

Maya is a 67 lb sweetheart who was surrendered by her previous owner due to significant health issues. Upon arrival, she had a mammary tumor, was severely anemic requiring a blood transfusion, and was diagnosed with Tick Fever. The tumor has since been removed, and she is doing wonderfully! Her foster mom describes her as a shadow, always happy and interested in meeting other dogs without any aggression. Maya has excellent house manners and loves to be wherever her people are. She is content sleeping in her kennel at night or on her own bed when given the option. She's also very tolerant when it comes to her incision care. Maya’s favorite pastime is playing with balls; she especially loves when stray pickleballs find their way into her yard! She's a devoted girl looking for her forever home.

Ongoing Health

Maya's vet recommends retesting for cancer every 3 months for up to a year. Local adoption is preferred due to the potential costs associated with future treatment if needed.

Training & Support

Maya has good house manners and is responsive to her name.
