Meet Clyde!

Clyde, formerly Raindrop, is a handsome Labrador mix who is less than two years old. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter, and we've given him a new name to celebrate his new lease on life! Clyde's past appears to have been difficult, as he was found neglected and possibly abused. His defeated expression broke our hearts, and we knew he deserved a chance to live and thrive. Since arriving, Clyde's wonderful personality has blossomed. He's an energetic, athletic, and curious pup who is eager to please. He loves being outdoors and enjoys watching the world go by. Clyde shows no reaction to other dogs. He has so much potential and is longing to form a deep bond with his special someone or family. If you're looking for a devoted companion and are willing to invest time and love, Clyde could be the dog of a lifetime!

Ideal Home

Clyde would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard, where he can be included in family activities. He is a strong walker when engaged, and a gentle leader and some consistent training will help him. While older children might be okay, Clyde may be best suited for a home without younger kids, as he can be a bit protective of his space and toys. This is completely understandable given his past experiences.

Clyde has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Clyde is very smart and will learn quickly with consistent training. Building his confidence through positive reinforcement, love, and a secure environment will be key to helping him settle in and feel safe.

• All adopters must complete an approval process, including a reference check with a current/recent vet and a brief home visit if you are local.
• We do permit out-of-state adoptions.

Transporation

Clyde is located at Charles Smithgall Humane Society. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship or transport animals to their new homes.
