Once upon a time, there was a little puppy named Zorro who didn't get the kind of beginning every puppy deserves. Life started out a little hard for this sweet four-month-old lab mix, but somehow, through it all, Zorro never stopped believing that people were wonderful. In fact, if you ask Zorro, people are the very best thing in the world. Sure, he enjoys toys and can happily entertain himself with a squeaky friend or a game of puppy make-believe. He's clever, curious, and always ready for a little fun. But if given a choice between a toy, a treat, or a meal and a warm lap? Zorro will choose the lap every single time. This little boy has never met a stranger. Every person he sees is simply a friend he hasn't had the chance to love yet. Affection seems to ooze from every pore of his body. He leans in for cuddles, melts into your arms, and looks at you with hopeful eyes that say, "Will you stay a little longer?" Zorro is discovering how beautiful life can be. He has safety now. He has toys. He has full meals and soft places to sleep. But there is still one piece missing from the fairy tale he dreams about: his person. The one who will be his family. The one whose footsteps he'll follow from room to room. The one whose lap will become his favorite place on earth. The one who will love him with their whole heart -- and be loved right back with a devotion so pure and complete that only a dog like Zorro can give it. Zorro isn't looking for a perfect world.
