Junior

Meet Junior, a courageous and charming little guy who has made incredible strides since leaving the shelter. His past has taught him to be cautious, but his foster home has shown him that life can be full of play, treats, and safety. Junior is a "work in progress" in the most rewarding way – a dog who rewards patience with loyalty and expressive charm. He is an independent spirit who absolutely lives for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. Junior isn't shy about letting you know what he needs, with a wide range of vocalizations to express his enthusiasm. He is also a dream in the car, happy to be along for any ride. He is already house-trained and crate-trained, making his transition into a home much smoother.

Ideal Home

Junior is looking for a specific kind of "alpha" human who leads with calm, firm consistency. He needs a family that is experienced in reading canine body language and can provide a predictable environment, as he can occasionally react to touch or unknown triggers with a fear-bite. He would be happiest as your only dog or paired with a very calm, balanced canine sibling. Due to his need for structure and boundaries, Junior is looking for an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand his space.
