Meet Cotton! This 4-year-old Beagle/Chihuahua mix has the sweetest soul and the biggest heart, making her a true companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether you're working from home, relaxing on the couch, or heading to bed for the night, Cotton is happiest curled up beside her favorite person. Thanks to the Puppies for Parole program, Cotton has been working hard on building her confidence and learning new skills, graduating on July 24th and ready for her next chapter with a loving family.
Cotton is incredibly loyal and forms strong bonds with her people. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially if they're loud or approach her too quickly, her affectionate and loving personality shines through with a little patience. She's making fantastic progress every day, reliably going potty outside and continuing to improve with her house training. Cotton has learned several commands including "No," "Leave It," "Off," and "Yes," and is currently mastering "Down." She's a smart girl who enjoys learning and responds well to positive reinforcement. Cotton does well being left out when you're away and doesn't require a kennel. She enjoys plenty of playful energy and having fun, though she does need to lose a little weight and is currently on a healthy diet. Cotton absolutely loves other small dogs and would thrive in a home with a small canine companion, but she would also be perfectly content as your one-and-only. We're continuing to work on her confidence with leash and collar handling, as well as helping her become more comfortable around loud noises. With consistency, encouragement, and love, she continues to blossom. If you're searching for a loyal, cuddly, and devoted best friend who will love you with her whole heart, Cotton is waiting to meet you.
Ideal Home
Cotton would thrive in a home with a small canine companion, but would also be content as an only pet. She would benefit from a patient household that understands her shyness with new people and loud noises.
Ongoing Health
Cotton is currently on a healthy diet to help her lose a little weight.
