Meet Burrito! This distinguished gentleman is around 9-10 years old and weighs about 19 pounds. Burrito is a true character with a fluffy coat and a personality to match. He's got that wise, seasoned vibe that only comes with experience. He's even entering his "middle-aged fitness era," committing to his health with a positive outlook!

Burrito is looking for a home that appreciates a mature companion who values connection, consistency, and calm affection. He builds rapport at a moderate pace and enjoys meaningful relationships.

Ongoing Health

Burrito has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease and a collapsing trachea. Both conditions are manageable with lifelong medication, and he is doing much better. The rescue will sponsor half the cost of his medications for the first year. He also has a cataract in one eye and is likely mostly blind on that side, but he navigates it like a champ by turning his good side toward the action. Weight management is a key part of his long-term plan, and he's fully committed, enjoying increased daily steps.

Training & Support

Burrito walks beautifully on leash and can be trusted to free roam in the home. He is doing well with his potty routine, indicating he has his life together! He is good with dogs of all sizes and carries himself with quiet confidence. While he can be a little aloof at first, his sweetness shines through once he feels safe and has built rapport.
