Sophie ADOPTION PENDING

Sophie, a beautiful German Shepherd/Husky/Mystery mix, arrived at NCCR on 8/26/2025, when her previous owner could no longer care for her and her puppies. After a vet checkup, Sophie and her pups were put on a specialized feeding and care plan. They all made a wonderful recovery! With all her pups now happily adopted, Sophie has been spayed, vaccinated, and is ready to find her own loving forever home. She can be a little timid with new people at first, but she warms up quickly once she feels safe. Sophie is a very smart girl who enjoys her walks and is eager to learn new skills, especially when treats and praise are involved! She is house-trained, gets along with most friendly dogs, and appears to be compatible with cats. Sophie is a favorite among our staff and volunteers!

Sophie is up to date on vaccinations and has received all necessary vet care.

Training & Support

Sophie is house-trained and has shown compatibility with other dogs and cats. She is motivated by treats and praise, which will be helpful as she continues to learn.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Approved applicants can participate in our Slumber Party Program to take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to ensure a great fit.
• Please be patient as we process applications; it takes time. If the dog you are interested in has been adopted, it means many applications were received, and we did not get to yours before a home was found. We encourage you to apply again for other dogs that interest you.
• Please double-check all provided phone numbers for accuracy.
• Advise your references that someone from NCCR may be calling from an unknown or private number.

Transporation

Sophie is located at our rescue. Potential adopters must be able to travel to the Rescue to meet her. We do not transport or ship dogs.
