Meet Wilma!

If love had four paws and a wagging tail, it would be Wilma! This beautiful 5-year-old Black Lab mix weighs around 50 pounds and has the gentlest soul you'll ever meet. After lovingly raising her adorable puppies, it's finally Wilma's turn to be the one who gets spoiled. Wilma is the definition of a family dog. She adores everyone she meets, including kids, dogs, and even cats! She's house trained, has wonderful manners, and is happiest simply being close to the people she loves.

Ideal Home

Wilma is happiest simply being close to the people she loves and would thrive in a home that can provide lots of affection.

Ongoing Health

Wilma is currently heartworm positive and receiving treatment, and she's handling it like the brave, resilient girl she is. She will also be spayed soon. All our adult dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested for heartworms.

Training & Support

Wilma is house trained and has wonderful manners.

Transportation

Take Paws Rescue is based in New Orleans, LA. Animals are fostered in foster homes throughout the region. Transport may be available to other locations; please inquire for details.
