Meet Annie!

Annie is a spirited, almost five-year-old German Shepherd with a beautiful sable coat. She's a bright, curious, and loyal girl who weighs around 55 pounds. Annie embodies the classic Shepherd spirit, loving outdoor adventures and playful moments. She has completed formal obedience training and knows commands like sit, stay, and down. Annie is also crate trained and sees her crate as a cozy retreat. She enjoys car rides and is happiest when she's part of her caregiver's daily activities.

Ideal Home

Annie truly shines in outdoor settings. She would be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard or in a rural environment where she has plenty of space to explore. Annie needs a home without other dogs or cats and a child-free environment with minimal visiting animals.

Ongoing Health

Annie has a diagnosed Ventricular Premature Contraction (VPC), a heart condition that makes anesthesia unsafe, which is why she has not been spayed. She also has a history of seizures, though she has not experienced any recent episodes.

Training & Support

Annie is a well-trained dog who understands basic commands. However, she needs an experienced German Shepherd owner who understands her need for structure, positive reinforcement, and consistent boundaries. Due to past incidents where she has reacted negatively to other dogs entering her space, she requires careful management and ongoing training and behavior guidance. She can become overwhelmed by other dogs and may react in ways that require a confident caregiver to manage.
