Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound bundle of joy looking for her forever family! She's a super loyal and intelligent companion who is guaranteed to bring laughter into your home with her goofy personality. Dottie is a total cuddle bug who loves to play with her favorite rope toys and stuffies, and she's always up for a game of tug-o-war. Her foster mom says she's a smart cookie who is very food motivated, making training a breeze. Dottie just wants to be by your side and will be your shadow, always eager to please.
Ideal Home
Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home where she can enjoy at least one good walk or play session a day. She enjoys running and playing but is also happy to snuggle up. She does best with one or two other calm, larger dogs and can get a bit overstimulated in large dog groups. Alternatively, she would be happy as the only pet to soak up all your attention! Dottie would do best in a home without young males or boys, as she has had some negative experiences. She is completely comfortable meeting adult men and is wonderful with women.

Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
Dottie is fully potty trained and crate trained, though she's happy to free-roam as she's proven to be trustworthy. She walks calmly on a leash but can pull and bark when she sees other dogs. She is very intelligent and food motivated, so she picks up on training quickly.

Dottie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is available for virtual meet & greets. She is eligible for transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
