Meet Daffodil! This sweet, mellow girl is a true joy, weighing in at 30lbs and 11 years young. She's a gentle and easygoing companion who has adapted beautifully to apartment and city living. Daffodil loves to be pampered, and will often give you a hopeful stare until you help her up for cuddles, as she can't quite manage the jump onto the couch herself. She's a people-pleaser who enjoys meeting everyone, and she's incredibly gentle with children, allowing them to pet her and even handle her paws, face, and eyes with ease. Daffodil is comfortable around other dogs, and with her calm nature, she's likely to get along well with cats too. She's content and quiet when left alone, and greets visitors with a friendly sniff and a desire for pets.
Ideal Home
Daffodil thrives on routine and a simple life. She enjoys a morning walk, breakfast with her medication, plenty of naps in sunny spots, a leisurely afternoon stroll, dinner, couch snuggles, and a final short walk before bed. She's a great fit for apartment living, provided there's an elevator, as stairs are not her favorite. She would do well as an only dog or with another easygoing canine companion.
Ongoing Health
Daffodil is currently on medication for an underactive thyroid. This condition is well-managed and does not impact her overall well-being.
Training & Support
Daffodil is potty trained and walks beautifully on a loose leash. She knows "sit" when a treat is involved and is motivated by food, which will be helpful for further training to build on her basic commands. While she hasn't shown much interest in toys, she loves a good dental or yak bone and an excellent head scratch.
