Meet Sunny!
Sunny is a charming 9-year-old, 70lb neutered pittie mix who is sure to bring a ray of sunshine into your life. He's a playful and goofy boy with a heart as big as his personality, always eager to share his infectious enthusiasm for life. Sunny absolutely adores spending time with his people, whether he's showering you with kisses, showing off his impressive tricks, or enjoying his favorite toys.
Ideal Home
Sunny would thrive in an active home with a family or couple who can continue his training and provide structure. He enjoys daily walks, playtime, and being included in family activities. While he walks well on a leash, he can get excited when he sees other dogs and may pull or lunge. With calm guidance and redirection, he quickly refocuses. He also gets a little too enthusiastic when meeting new people and can get mouthy when excited, so he'd do best with older, dog-savvy children (10+) who can help reinforce good manners and respect his boundaries. Sunny can be playful and energetic with medium to large dogs, but he needs slow, proper introductions and continued guidance, as he doesn't always recognize when another dog needs a break. He'd do well with a balanced, tolerant dog, but would also be perfectly happy as the sole canine companion, soaking up all the attention.

Training & Support
Sunny has a great foundation in obedience, knowing commands like sit, down, stay, place, and several fun movement tricks. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, settling nicely in his kennel at night. Due to his food motivation, he is eager to continue learning. While he's learning to manage his excitement around other dogs and new people, positive reinforcement and consistent redirection will help him continue to master these areas.

Sunny is currently being fostered in Houston, TX and can be transported to an approved adopter. Transports run every few weeks, and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
