Lucas is a handsome 50lb Sighthound Mix with a medium black and white coat. He was born around May 5, 2022, and is a neutered male. Lucas is an active companion who grew up as part of a feral pack in the deserts of Qatar. This background has given him unique needs and a special personality. While he can be initially reserved with strangers, once he trusts you, Lucas is incredibly affectionate and loves a good hug!

Ideal Home

Lucas needs a patient and understanding owner who can appreciate his journey. He is not a dog for everyone; he takes time to build trust and does not welcome contact from strangers. He requires a large, securely fenced yard where he can safely run and play, as he is not reliable off-leash due to his prey drive. Lucas prefers the company of other female dogs and is not safe unsupervised around small animals. An adult-only household or a home with teenagers who understand his background and needs would be ideal.
