Hi, I’m Blondie. My story didn’t begin very kindly. I was abandoned in La Marque and left to survive outside on my own. I spent weeks hiding under a house while a kind person fed me and tried to help me feel safe. During that time, I was posted all over social media, but nobody came looking for me.

Just one week before rescue, I was rolled under a car. Thankfully, I wasn’t hurt, but life had already taught me to be scared and uncertain.

Even after everything, though, I’m still one of the sweetest and most loving dogs you could ever meet.

I absolutely adore being close to my people and will happily follow you around the house just to keep you company. I’m wonderful with children, get along great with other dogs, and completely ignore cats. I also seem to be house trained and have adjusted beautifully to life indoors.

Because of my past, I do have separation anxiety. I don’t chew things up or act out, but I cry when left alone because I’m afraid the people I love might not come back. I can also be shy around strangers at first and may bark until I feel safe.

Once I trust you, though, I become incredibly loyal, affectionate, and devoted. I’m searching for a forever family that will never give up on me again and will help me continue learning that love and safety are here to stay.
