Meet Piper, an adorable girl who is around three years old and weighs about 13 pounds. Piper found herself in a local shelter after being seized by authorities in a horrific hoarding case. Due to her lack of socialization, she was at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, Tiny Paws was able to step up and save her!
Due to her past, Piper is a nervous girl and is still learning how to trust, love, and feel safe in this world! Piper’s journey in her foster home hasn’t always been easy, but she’s made great progress. She is still very skittish and easily startled, so she’s looking for an experienced, calm, and understanding adopter who can continue the gentle, patient care she’s been receiving in her foster home. She enjoys snuggling and playing with her foster siblings and we would love to see her go to a home with a confident dog around her size to help show her the ropes! What Piper needs most is a consistent environment where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. With time, love, and patience, we know this sweet girl will continue to shine!
Ideal Home
Piper is not comfortable on a leash and will require a secure, private fenced-in yard where she can safely play, explore, and potty. Due to her skittish nature, she would not do well in a home with children or with frequent young visitors.
