Riggs

Riggs is a nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a large hoarding case. While the dogs were cared for, Riggs is still learning the ropes of everyday life due to a lack of socialization. He is a sweet, gentle, and shy boy who prefers a calm environment and a little time to adjust. Riggs enjoys the company of other dogs and cats, and would do best in a home with a confident canine friend to help him feel more secure and provide a good example. He also needs a fenced yard for his safety, as he is sensitive to loud noises and sudden commotion. Children over the age of 10 are recommended for Riggs, as he thrives in a quiet household and may be overwhelmed by very young children.

Ideal Home

Riggs would thrive in a calm and predictable home with a resident dog to help him gain confidence. He needs a securely fenced yard and would prefer a household without loud noises or excessive commotion. He is not a fan of sudden noises or unpredictable sounds and would do best with older children (10+) who can be respectful of his shy nature.

Training & Support

Riggs is still working on building his confidence and adjusting to everyday life. He benefits greatly from a structured routine, kindness, and patience. Understanding his sensitivity to loud noises and providing a safe, calm space will be key to his success.
