Phoenix

Phoenix is a young, energetic teenager looking for his forever home still. He is currently being fostered in Virginia but can be transported to an approved adopter. Phoenix is a playful, loyal, and affectionate boy weighing about 74 pounds, with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is smart, expressive, and happiest when he’s with his people and a trusted dog companion.

Ideal Home

Phoenix is high energy and loves to run, play, and explore. He would do best in a home with another dog of similar size and energy. He does not like being alone for long periods and does best when another dog is home with him. He prefers personal space and is not a fan of dog parks or daycare.

Phoenix is a healthy boy.

Training & Support

Phoenix is crate trained and housebroken. He is currently working on his leash skills, though he walks well and is easy to control, he may pull at times. Continued socialization, regular exercise, and mental stimulation will be important to keep him happy and confident.

• Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat.
• Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
• We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
