Meet Mowie, a charming Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a survival story as cool as the storm he escaped! Born around August 4, 2024, and weighing in at a sturdy 15.9 pounds, Mowie is the definition of a "tough guy with a heart of gold." He was discovered hanging around the guard shack at Randolph AFB just as a major ice storm was rolling in. The kind-hearted guards had been sharing their lunches with him to keep him going, but they knew he needed a warm hearth to survive the freeze. Mowie is a truly great boy who is ready to trade base security for home security.

Mowie was recently neutered.

Training & Support

Mowie has a quirky habit of humping other dogs. We are optimistic that this will decrease as his hormones settle after being neutered.

Mowie is currently in Texas. He can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast (excluding Rhode Island and Massachusetts). If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225.
