Meet Lainey, a beautiful girl with a heart and soul bigger than her body! Lainey was brought in as a stray in November 2025 with no known background, and she’s estimated to be around three years old. She’s currently in a loving foster home in Texas. Lainey has bloomed under her foster’s care. Her personality is truly that of a house hippo; she sleeps with her stuffed animal babies all day long on the couch, with a short zoomies break every now and then with a chew bone. She follows her foster's two-year-old around the house and loves children, especially littles. She has been dog and cat friendly! She loves long walks and doesn’t pull on the leash at all, staying right by your side. Lainey rarely barks and is usually very quiet! Potty training is going well, and she hasn’t had an accident in a long time!
Ideal Home
Lainey would prefer a home with calmer pets, as she can get nervous around loud or energetic dogs and will try to hide. Loud noises from people do not affect her, nor do toddler tantrums. She truly is a precious angel who deserves the world!
Ongoing Health
Lainey is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, which is fully covered by the rescue.
Training & Support
Lainey is doing well with potty training and has had no accidents recently. She is also a great walking companion, as she doesn't pull on the leash.
