Juanita

Meet Juanita, a sweet and athletic dog currently in foster in Moab, Utah. She came from Shiprock, New Mexico, after being hit by a car and sustaining a left femur fracture. Her femur has remodeled into a scar-tissue joint, sometimes called a natural FHO. She walks differently but is not in pain, and she loves to run, play, swim, and spend time with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Juanita would do best with an adult-only home. She enjoys meeting new people, goes to work with her foster, rides well in the car, and loves active games and water.

Ongoing Health

• Juanita has a remodeled left femur injury and will always walk somewhat differently, but her injury does not cause pain.
• She continues to grow stronger and is becoming a strong swimmer.

Training & Support

• House-trained and uses a dog door to go outside.
• Sleeps through the night in a dog bed beside her foster’s bed.
• Leash trained and rides well in the car.
