Max is an almost 7-month-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. He was rescued after a difficult start, suspected to be a victim of animal abuse, but despite his past, Max is a happy and resilient puppy. He's a bit sensitive to loud noises but is otherwise a joy to be around. We're so excited to help Max find his forever family in the Seattle area!
Max has been with his foster family for four months and has been a wonderful addition. He settled in quickly and loves his people. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys being part of a pack. Max is curious and loves to explore, but he also has an easygoing nature that makes him a pleasure to have around. He is fully potty trained and has had no accidents in the house for over five months. Max is comfortable in his crate and can relax happily for a few hours with a chew toy. He walks nicely on a leash, has good recall, and naturally stays close to his people. While he has playful puppy moments, he's surprisingly calm and content with a daily walk and some playtime. Max loves to wake his foster family with sweet puppy kisses and will happily curl up beside them, enjoying pets and snuggles. He has that "off switch" everyone hopes for in a young dog, enjoying playtime but also happy to relax with his family.
Ideal Home
Max would thrive with a family or a single adopter looking for a loyal, easygoing companion. He would do well in a home with teenage children and would likely fit in with other friendly dogs.
Ongoing Health
Max was rescued after sustaining injuries from a suspected abuse case, which included multiple broken ribs.
Training & Support
Max is a well-behaved pup with excellent house manners. He is fully potty trained and crate-trained. He walks nicely on a leash and has good recall. He has a good balance of playful and relaxed energy.
