Hi, I'm Sonora! I'm a joyful and entertaining girl who's a unique blend of Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Chihuahua, Boxer, Great Dane, Pit Bull, and Peruvian Inca Orchid. I ended up in a tough spot as a puppy, found abandoned and injured in the mountains of Mexico, which is how I got my name. Thankfully, some kind hikers rescued me and brought me back to the US, where I've recovered and am now ready for my forever home.

Ideal Home

I'm a high-energy girl who loves to run, cuddle, and play! I'd do best in an active home with a yard for my zoomies and a minimum 6-foot fence. Apartment living isn't for me. While I've done well with young children under supervision, my excitement can lead to jumping and nipping, so I'd thrive in an adult-only home experienced with dogs. I might do okay with cats, as I've ignored them in the past, but I haven't been left unsupervised with them. A canine companion would be great, but they'll need to match my energy level.

Ongoing Health

I'm healthy now and have been spayed.

Training & Support

I've had formal training and have learned a lot from my foster families, but I'm still learning. I'm a very smart girl and can continue to grow with the right guidance. I can be reactive on leash, so walks will require a patient approach. When I'm left alone, I need to be in a dog-proof area or a crate. I can be a bit shy with strangers initially but warm up quickly.
