Meet the breeder
Meet Timber Creek Labradors. Timber Creek Labradors is a small kennel, located in Northwest Pennsylvania. We focus our attention to breed standard, temperament, genetics, intelligence, health and beauty. Our goal is to encourage and promote quality and performance of the pure-bred Labrador Retriever and to do all possible to bring their natural attributes to perfection. Dedicated to the breeding and the preservation of the purebred English and American Labrador Retrievers. Breeding for conformation, obedience, field, hunt, family companions, therapy and service work. All of our dogs are AKC registered. Our breeding stock is cleared of any hereditary joint, eye, and heart abnormalities through the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals and a Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist. My dogs are all OFA certified, tested for all DNA. They are all listed on OFA website. Puppies are ALWAYS raised in my home from birth until they go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age (PA law). They are raised under foot and are well socialized. Pups are all checked by our veterinarian who also provides a written health report for new owners. My English Labs are from champion show lines but also do well in the field and make wonderful family pets or working dogs. Our American lines have a nice level drive with a great on/off switch. Some go from hunting in the field on Saturdays to therapy events on Sundays. All of our dogs are treated with the very best of care. When a litter is bred it is with the intent to keep a pup or two, so that we can continue with our show and breeding program. Litters are planned with a goal and a purpose. We are constantly evaluating our program for the betterment of the breed and take into consideration each dogs pedigree, health, temperament, soundness, conformation, and ability. This breed has inspired me in many ways over the years and has filled my heart with more love, joy and pride than I could have ever imagined. I enjoying serving the community with my certified therapy dogs. Our visits include senior living homes, hospitals, home hospice visits, reading programs, schools, and the occasional parade and school field trip. We actively participate in All Breed and Specialty events to earn titles. As well as many different kinds of sporting events such as FCATS, Dock Diving, Barn hunt, shed hunting, and Blood trailing. At Timber Creek, our dogs hang out on the couch and sleep indoors. Our litters are carefully planned and average one or two a year. Puppies are sold on limited registration and adoptive homes are carefully screened. Some of our puppies have found their way into the show ring, or as therapy dogs, or hunting ducks and upland game—but most importantly, into their families’ hearts. Not only do we enjoy working and training our dogs, but our favorite times are our evenings spent sitting in front of the wood stove with our dogs lying at our feet. A we feel the relationship with puppy buyers should last for the life of that dog. Our puppies are simply guaranteed for life. Many buyers make their initial contact with us long before a litter is even conceived. Once you have decided to purchase a Labrador puppy, we recommend you plan on six months to a year of research (visiting breeders and meeting dogs), planning, and waiting And, please, before you begin the process, be sure that a Labrador is, indeed, the right breed for you.
