About George and Piper

George and Piper are a bonded pair, ready to fill your home with love and companionship! George, a dignified three-year-old Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix, is the steady anchor, while Piper, a spirited two-year-old Pharaoh Hound/American Pitbull Terrier mix, is the joyful spark.

George is a magnificent boy, weighing 112 pounds with a striking tricolor coat. He embodies loyalty, intelligence, and a quiet strength. After a challenging start, George has blossomed in a foster home for the past 15 months, learning to trust and feel safe. He's a dog who offers his affection deeply, content to be near his people, providing a comforting, silent presence.

Piper, at a petite 31 pounds, is a bundle of energy and affection with a sleek brown coat and bright eyes. She is radiant with joy and trust, loving people and playtime. Piper excels at cuddling and greets her favorite humans and pups with enthusiastic wiggles and tail wags. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like sit, down, and stay. She enjoys activity but is equally happy to relax by your side.

George is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and knows commands such as sit, down, shake, easy, and stay. He thrives on routine and responds well to kind guidance. While he enjoys company, he also appreciates his own space and builds bonds over time.

Piper is a social butterfly who is friendly with strangers and wonderful with children and other dogs. She clearly adores George and brings out his playful side. She may need gentle introductions to cats or small animals, but her kind nature suggests she'll adapt with patience. Piper can be sensitive to loud noises and would appreciate a safe, cozy spot during thunderstorms or fireworks.

Ideal Home

George thrives in a calm and structured environment where trust can be built gradually. He needs ample space to roam and feel secure, making him unsuited for apartments or small condos.

Ongoing Health

George experienced one fear-based bite incident when a visitor moved too quickly into his space and patted his head, an area sensitive due to past trauma. In another instance, he snapped (without contact) when a new person leaned in face-to-face in an unfamiliar setting, a clear indication he needs space. A professional trainer evaluated George and determined he is not aggressive but is a sensitive, thoughtful dog reacting to his past experiences. His compassionate trainers are offering ongoing support through video or phone consultations.

Training & Support

George responds beautifully to clear routines and gentle guidance. Piper is a quick learner and enjoys pleasing her people.
