Alba

Alba is a sweet 1-year-old, 30 lb Labrador Creole mix who was rescued in March 2024. She's a loving, intelligent, and playful girl who is energetic and sociable with everyone she meets, including children and other dogs. Alba enjoys walks, runs, and lots of affection. She can be a little shy at first with new people, but she quickly melts into your arms once she feels comfortable. Alba is also crate and leash trained. She was found as a tiny puppy with her littermates in a field, and now she's ready for her forever home!

Ideal Home

Alba would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals, who understands their behaviors may require protection and education. A family with experience in dog behavior and training, as well as high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, would be ideal. Please note that Alba is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Alba has received a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has also been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She has a health certificate and a vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Alba is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency from her new family. Her rescuers are unable to house-train each pet due to the large number of animals in foster care.

Transportation

Alba is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
