Honey

Honey Comb is a sweet, affectionate, and silly 6-year-old terrier mix who weighs 68 lbs. She's a full-grown girl who is the perfect blend of playful energy and cozy companionship. Honey Comb is happiest when she's by your side, whether you're watching TV, reading, or just relaxing. She loves to be close to her humans, nuzzling in for cuddles or resting her head on your lap. Don't worry, she's not a big kisser, so you can enjoy all the snuggles without the slobber! She's also independent and can entertain herself with a favorite chew toy or by watching the world go by from the window, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. When it's time for fun, Honey Comb is always ready for a happy bounce and zoomies around the yard. She enjoys neighborhood walks, car rides, and puzzle toys. Honey Comb loves meeting new people, young and old, and is great with kids. Her signature move is a "stop, drop, and roll" when she wants belly rubs! She's incredibly smart and has excellent manners, including being respectful around food. Honey Comb is ready to find a family who will appreciate her affectionate heart, sweet personality, and loyal companionship.

Ideal Home

Honey Comb would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of quality time with her people. A fenced-in backyard is a must for her to play fetch and sunbathe. She would much prefer a quieter suburban or rural area over a busy city, as she loves nature trails and hikes. She is happiest as the only pet in the home, where she can receive all the love and attention. A feline-free home is also recommended. She would do best with children aged 4 and up, as she may accidentally bump a smaller child with her happy tail.

Training & Support

Honey Comb is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She communicates when she needs to go potty by "tap dancing" by the door. She is not destructive and can be trusted when left alone. She can sleep in a kennel if preferred, but would love to sleep in bed with her forever family or on a dog bed next to theirs.

• The adoption fee is $350, which includes an adoption fee of $100 and a transport fee of $250. The adoption fee covers all age-appropriate vaccinations, spay procedure, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and any necessary vet care while in our care. The transport fee covers the transportation from Honey Comb's foster home to her forever home.

Transporation

Honey Comb is in a foster home in Austin, TX. She can be adopted and transported to various locations. Our transports are monthly, and adoptive families will need to meet the transport to pick up their new family member. Dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported, and we cannot bring dogs for meet-and-greets due to transport distance.
