Meet Hatchi!

Hatchi is a soulful, young adult Akita/Siberian Husky mix with a majestic tricolor coat and a loyal, tender heart. This 90-pound sweetheart is still adjusting to life with only one working eye due to stabilized glaucoma. While he may see shadows, sudden movements can startle him, especially on walks. He thrives with a confident, experienced caregiver who can help him feel grounded and secure. Hatchi is strong on leash and can be reactive to dogs, cats, bikes, and cars. He's a smart boy who responds to his name, is crate trained, house-trained, and has lived harmoniously with young children. He may do well with a calm, female dog companion but would not be compatible with cats.

Ideal Home

A confident, experienced caregiver who can help Hatchi feel grounded and secure. A fenced yard is essential for his safety and curiosity. He would not be compatible with cats.

Ongoing Health

Hatchi has stabilized glaucoma and will need eye drops for the rest of his life. He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Hatchi is strong on leash and reactive to dogs, cats, bikes, and cars. He needs someone comfortable working with large breeds, understanding positive reinforcement, and patient training. Treats make administering his eye drops manageable.
