About Prince Boy

Prince Boy is a handsome fellow who came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. He was at a high-kill shelter and was facing euthanasia for space, as well as being heartworm positive and having an untreated eye issue. Luckily, he was able to be pulled and received the medical care he desperately needed. His heartworm treatment was a success, and he underwent entropion eye surgery, which has fixed his eye. He's now up-to-date on all his shots and is a real gem of a dog!

Prince Boy is about 2 to 2 1/2 years old and weighs between 58 and 64 pounds. He has a medium energy level and enjoys walks and playing in his fenced yard. He's crate trained, potty trained, and knows commands like "sit," "come," and "heel" for leash walking. He's treat and food motivated but not food aggressive. He also rides well in the car and enjoys going on adventures.

Ideal Home

Prince Boy would do best in a home with a fenced yard. He would likely not be a good apartment dog. He can be a part of a family with children, a couple, or a single person, as long as he's included in daily activities. A doggy buddy to play with would be a bonus, but not a requirement.

Ongoing Health

Prince Boy is no longer heartworm positive. He has had entropion eye surgery to correct an issue and is now fixed. He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Prince Boy was noted to hump a lot of dogs in the shelter, but since being neutered, this behavior has stopped, and he now plays well with other dogs. He is treat and food motivated, which can aid in training.
